About the Firm
In 1950, Tom Lawrence founded one of the first Management Consulting firms in the Nation. Over 5 decades the firm has established a reputation for integrity and skill in helping smaller firms and not-for-profit organizations improve their management and achieve success. Trade Associations and Professional Societies have been important clients throughout our history. Through them the firm has also served literally thousands of businesses around the world. Lawrence-Leiter and Company continues to serve Trade Associations, Professional Societies, small and medium sized businesses, addressing the Big Questions organizations face in a rapidly changing world.
Located in
suburban Kansas City, the firm conducts an international practice centered on organization strategy. Key services supporting solid strategy development and execution include people selection and development, a wide variety of research, organization design and futures studies.
Our Commitment
To an ethical consultant, the client's interests always come first. A desire to improve professionalism in consulting led Tom Lawrence to help found the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC). The firm's current President, David Bywaters, has also served on IMC's Board and has earned IMC's CMC designation.
Lawrence-Leiter and Company pledges to live by the spirit, not just the letter, of the IMC Code of Ethics. That code is reproduced below.
